Support The Organization for Black Struggle

CAPCR’s Community Forum

The Coalition Against Police Crimes & Repression invite you to the community forum on “Transforming Police Culture.”  The forum is Thursday, March 29 from 6-7:30 pm at First Unitarian Church, 5007 Waterman Blvd. There’ll be a presentation made on our current thinking about accountability and community policing.

Let the Prosecutor Do Her Job

OBS stood in solidarity with the Concerned Citizens of St. Louis to support Kim Gardner’s indictment of Missouri Governor Eric Greitens. Gardner is the City’s first African American Circuit Attorney. Greitens was charged with a felony count of invasion of privacy connected to an extramarital affair he had in 2015. Gardner is catching hell for her prosecution of the corrupt governor making OBS wonder if this is 2018 and not times past Black folks couldn’t look whites in the eye or when Black police officers couldn’t arrest a white person. We say let Kim Gardner do her job!

OBS Receives Recognition for our Work

The Organization for Black Struggle, along with a few organizations, were honored for our consistent work for and with our community. The recognition was by the Black Caucus/Board of Alders during their annual Black History Month Program. Tempestt Tuggle accepted the proclamation on our behalf. Also on hand was Kendra Tatum and Jamala Rogers.

Black History Quiz Winner

During Black History Month, OBS launched a blitz to gather as many signatures as possible for the minimum wage and CLEAN Missouri ballot initiatives. There were many challenging Black History questions and several really nice prizes. The blitz continues!
