On August 1, 2017, we came together for Night Out for Safety and Liberation. We provided the community with over 50 book bags with school supplies.
Cotton candy, snow cone machines, BBQ Food, and DJ Needles spinning the latest music–families enjoyed the evening. Let’s not forget the Bounce House!
Umoja (Unity) was in full force. Participants learned about different community organizations, such as Show ME $15, Jobs with Justice, MORE, Dr. Jordan, Hands Up, Young Friends of the Ville, APRI, AFSC,-YUIR, Ma’at, Youth Council, and Organization for Black Struggle.
Asante to all those that made this event such a success. Don’t forget to check out OBS Facebook photo album on the event.
